Now, picture having to walk several miles each day, carrying a heavy container on your back, just to fulfill this fundamental need for your family. Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality faced by thousands of women and girls in rural Ethiopia. Many of them are forced to give up their education or never have the chance to attend school, all to ensure their families have water. Tragically, the water they fetch is often contaminated with waterborne diseases that claim the lives of their young siblings.
Now, envision resolving that problem with simple yet effective water systems. Stream of Hope water projects have the power to transform the lives of entire villages. Installing a water system goes beyond providing clean water; it also rescues young children from waterborne illnesses and the threat of death.
